Easter Message
“… suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day he rose again…”
From the Apostles’ Creed
Der Herr ist auferstanden! Halleluja!
Jesus is risen from the dead! Alleluia! What a comforting reality! The salvific action of God has clearly begun. When Jesus, the first born of all creation Col 1:15) also became the firstborn from the dead (Col 1:18), God shows us clearly the destiny of humankind whose salvation is possible, a gift from God given to us. Death is not the end of life but only a passageway to the next, to the eternal one, to be with the Father. Oh, if we only ever grasp the very meaning of the resurrection of the Messiah! Suffering and death would then have deep meaning in our lives. Suffering in the context of loving, and dying to oneself for the cause of others – this would not be in vain and useless when done in the Spirit of Jesus. It leads one after the end of his earthly life to an everlasting gazing of the face of God!
Si Hesus ay muling nabuhay! Aleluya!
