Joint FCC – PGG Eucharistic Celebration on September 30
Important Announcement:
A joint Eucharistic Celebration by the FCC and PGG communities will take place on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. on the occasion of the
Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz.
This initiative to have a common Eucharistic celebration came from the Philippinische Gottesdienst Gemeinde (PGG). Fr. Ron called up Fr. Joey and told him this idea. The 2 priests met early January this year and during their lunch/meeting, it was agreed upon that this joint activity be held. Discussed also was the possible date of the celebration. First suggestion was Pentecost Sunday; this date was not possible for the Chaplaincy in Maria von Berge Karmel. Then, Corpus Christi Sunday, again this date was not possible for them. Then came the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz. It was this date that was agreed upon. No other details were discussed in this first meeting.
The second meeting was held last Monday, September 10 at the Stefan Fadinger Platz. Fr. Ron ate lunch there with Fr. Joey, Fr. Ely and Fr. Cyril. Details of the joint celebration were discussed, among others, the venue which is Pfarre Maria von Berge Karmel, Stefan Fadinger Platz. Who does what in the Mass and who brings what for the Agape were all distributed to the 2 communities.
It was only after this meeting that what has transpired was announced officially in the PGG. Details were announced only last September 16 after the Masses of the PGG and were received with resounding applause from the Community in the three Sunday Masses. One can take it as the communities´ approval of the initiative.
All are invited to attend and are encouraged to pray and ask the intercession of St. Lorenzo Ruiz for the success of this celebration in all aspects.
